Nellie’s operates a 38-bed emergency shelter for women and children who are homeless and women and children leaving violence, and also a community support and outreach program for low income and socially isolated women and children in the community. Nellie’s is a community-based feminist women’s organization committed to social justice and anti-oppression. We have been serving the community since 1973. Year after year, we help women rebuild their lives by providing access to counseling, information and appropriate referrals, and by providing advocacy and support in areas such as legal and income assistance, training, education and housing.
Interval House of Hamilton consists of the Victoria & Friends emergency 22-bed shelter and community-based programs for women and their children who are experiencing gender-based violence, abuse, and/or human trafficking. Our mission is violence free lives for all women, children, and communities.
Safety Network Durham provides a centralized place in that multiple different agencies come together in one location to support the multiple needs of women affected by gender-based violence (i.e counselling, housing, legal support, financial support, etc).

Huronia Transition Homes is a non-profit organization that believes all violence against all women and children must end. We are community members who are committed to education and advocacy as a means to end violence. Timmins and Area Women in Crisis (TAWC) is a dynamic, community-based feminist organization, which provides services on intimate partner abuse and sexual violence to women and their dependents in the Timmins area. TAWC works within an integrated feminist, anti-racism, and anti-oppression framework. The agency administers a sexual assault centre, an emergency shelter, second-stage housing and anti-human trafficking, transitional housing, family court, outreach and child witness programs.
