The mission is to facilitate the healing and self-empowerment process of women and their children who have found themselves survivors of violence. This is accomplished by providing support and advocacy services and by focusing on healing in the areas of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual growth within a safe and secure haven.

OCASI was formed in 1978 to act as a collective voice for immigrant serving agencies and to coordinate responses to shared needs and concerns.

Timmins and Area Women in Crisis
Timmins and Area Women in Crisis (TAWC) is a dynamic, community-based feminist organization, which provides services on intimate partner abuse and sexual violence to women and their dependents in the Timmins area. TAWC works within an integrated feminist, anti-racism, and anti-oppression framework. The agency administers a sexual assault centre, an emergency shelter, second-stage housing and anti-human trafficking, transitional housing, family court, outreach and child witness programs.
