Timmins and Area Women in Crisis (TAWC) is a dynamic, community-based feminist organization, which provides services on intimate partner abuse and sexual violence to women and their dependents in the Timmins area. The agency administers a sexual assault centre, an emergency shelter, second-stage housing and anti-human trafficking, transitional housing, family court, outreach and child witness programs.
Embrave: Agency to End Violence is a non-profit organization that provides shelter, counselling, and advocacy supports for women, Two-Spirit, genderqueer, trans and non-binary folks and their children impacted by gender-based violence. We amplify the voices of survivors, educate the community, and inspire systemic change to create a society free of violence.
The Sexual Assault and Partner Abuse Care Program provides trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking in the Ottawa region. We focus on inclusivity, patient-centered and confidential medical, forensic, and mental health care.
