Muskoka Women’s Advocacy Group’s shelters and services strive to prevent abuse and violence against women and to alleviate the impact by working to ensure that women feel heard, validated, empowered, respected and supported in the choices they make.

My Sister’s Place is a not-for-profit organization that provides residential and outreach services for women and their children living with the consequences of violence and abuse. We have served the communities of South Simcoe Ontario since 1987.

Naomi’s Family Resource Centre provides safe, secure, confidential emergency shelter and support services to women 16 years and older with or without children who are victims of family violence in any form. Through renewed awareness of their strengths and resources women and children can establish violence free lives in the community and reach their full human growth potential.

Nelson House of Ottawa Carleton exists to provide shelter to women fleeing violence. We are a 15 bed, shelter with a 24 hour crisis line, onsite support/advocacy and counselling, children’s programming and transitional support.

New Starts for Women provides a safe place for women who have experienced violence, where we can provide the opportunity to live free from abuse.

Neighbours, Friends and Families is a public education campaign to raise awareness of the signs of intimate partner violence so that those close to someone experiencing abuse or using abusive behaviour can help. It engages the power of everyday relationships to help keep survivors and their children safe.

Niagara Sexual Assault Centre is a non-profit organization that responds to the needs of survivors of sexual violence and through public education increases understanding and awareness of sexual assault related issues. We provide a variety of counselling, support and emergency services to survivors and their families.

To support and provide services to women, and the children in their care, who are fleeing abuse – to be part of creating a community in which women, and the children in their care, can live free from abuse.

When women are empowered and supported, the entire community benefits & flourishes. These women go onto build healthy homes, strong communities, and inspire future generations. Our mission isn’t just to provide immediate support, shelters or counselling; it’s about building futures and fostering communities where women’s empowerment is a driving force.

The Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Program and Treatment Centre at NBRHC is an individualized service available to survivors of sexual assault, and intimate partner violence. The program provides emergency health care and psychosocial support, as well as follow-up care, by specially trained nurses.
The care provided to all victims and survivors is patient-centered and focuses on choices made by the victim/survivor. We are here to support you and help you do what you know is best for your overall health and well-being.
Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence victims who come to North Bay Regional Health Centre for treatment will be provided care 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
